AFX Grid Paper Actions

One of the great appeals of Digital Scrapbooking as opposed to standard scrapbooking is the ability to generate designs that appear as though they could be 'real', but instead are coputer generated and pieced together digitally. If you can imagine it, envision it or have seen it in real life, chances are you can duplicate it on the computer with the right tools, a certain skill level and the desire to create that which you have envisioned, imagined or seen.

These actions are here to help. In this set I've created 5 actions that give you variations on grid lined paper, such as you see in various stores selling those types of products. Each sheet is created from scratch at 12"x12", 300 ppi, and can easily be printed for use in real-world scrapbooks or used to backdrop your digital kit designs.

AFX Diamond Actions

I told a few members that I would continue refining the gem creating actions, and here are more results of those experiments. Each action creates a new 300 ppi image and generates the gem from scratch... no user input required. These are easily resized as needed, and make great sequins as well.

The bracelet action even generates a gold setting and chain.

AFX Photoshop CS3 Spirograph Actions (Tested in CS2, CS3 and CS4)

 

6 Incredible Spirograph/Lace Generating Tools

Attention Digital Scrapbookers:

Those of you who have been members of ActionFx for awhile may recall a series of actions I did in the past that generated Spirograph style designs, which could then be turned into lace designs and objects, brushes, shapes and so forth. Those were created specifically for Photoshop CS2, and really do not play well with other incarnations of the software. I've corrected that in this group of actions, so I'm happy to introduce (drumroll please)...

The NEW and IMPROVED Spirograph and Lace Generating Actions!!!

There are 6 actions in this set. The first two are designed to generate the same effect/image everytime... just basic spirograph patterns you may be familiar with from your childhood. Where this set really shines is with the last 4 actions. They are designed to turn any custom shape into MULTIPLE spirograph and lace style images. Each action creates lines of differing thickness, so for those very intricate designs you will want to use the last action in the set.

I did say multiple designs, and I meant it: at varying stages during action playback, the action will create a duplicate image and from that generate an even more complex pattern. When you run the last 4 actions you will end up with 4-5 distinct designs from a single shape that you can then save as a .png file for later use or distribution, define as a brush for painting or as a custom shape to add to your Photoshop aresnal of tools. The examples you see here are just a few of the millions of designs you can achieve with these incredible actions.
